Comic-Con 2016 | Chadwick Boseman on ‘Black Panther’ and ‘Civil War’

Chadwick Boseman is the King of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Or to put it more accurately, he’s playing King T’Challa of Wakanda in the enormously popular and successful superhero movie franchise. Chadwick Boseman debuted as the superhero Black Panther in this year’s megablockbuster Captain America: Civil War and he’ll return in 2018 in his own solo movie, directed by Ryan Coogler (Creed).

It was a big weekend for Chadwick Boseman, who appeared in front of a packed house in Comic-Con 2016‘s illustrious Hall H to announce the cast of the Black Panther movie. We sat down with the actor the very next day to talk about what’s to come for the character – or at least, what he’d like to see (since it’s very much under wraps) – and how he managed to seem so regal while wearing a top-to-bottom cat costume.

We also talked about what he personally geeks out about, and the topic of Squirrel Girl definitely came up (although that was mostly our idea). Watch the exclusive video below and check out Chadwick Boseman on DVD/Blu-ray and VOD in September 2016!
