Actress Beanie Feldstein has welcomed her first child with her wife, Bonnie-Chance Roberts, and opened up about her experience as a new mother. The “Booksmart” star described motherhood as an incredibly beautiful experience but also revealed that she faced health complications after giving birth.

In an interview with People on Wednesday, November 4, Feldstein expressed her joy about becoming a mother. The couple welcomed their daughter over the summer but have not publicly revealed her name.
“She is genuinely beyond my wildest dreams. I really did dream her,” she said, adding, “I always wanted to be a mom, and I always wanted a daughter.”
Although Feldstein experienced health complications after childbirth, she did not share specific details. Motherhood has also helped her recognize her own strength.
“I am learning my strength every day,” she shared. The actress described raising her daughter alongside Roberts as “the greatest gift” and praised her wife as a wonderful mother.
Her daughter’s first smile remains a particularly special memory.
“I could feel her soul from the moment she was born,” she said. Seeing her baby’s personality reflected in that smile felt magical.
The couple announced their pregnancy on Instagram in May. They referred to their expected arrival as a “Limited Edition Scouse Beanie Baby.”
Feldstein later shared a baby bump update in June. She captioned her photos, “9 months pregnant chubby girl outfit of the day!!!!!! ???”
Feldstein and Roberts met over Skype in 2018 during the casting process for “How to Build a Girl.” The actress starred in the film, while Roberts served as a producer.
They got engaged in June 2022 and married in New York in May 2023. Their wedding featured a summer camp theme.
Now, as Feldstein returns to work, she continues to cherish life with her wife and daughter.
