Lisa Rinna has made a lighthearted remark about her 30-year-marriage to actor Harry Hamlin. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star also explained how their differences helped keep the relationship strong.
Lisa Rinna jokes that Harry Hamlin’s good looks help keep their marriage strong
Speaking on CBS Mornings, Rinna, 63, reflected on her marriage to Harry Hamlin, 75. The two married on March 29, 1997. When asked about how her marriage has lasted so long, Rinna joked about Hamlin’s previous marriages.
“You know, people ask us that all the time and I don’t know. You know, I’m his third wife, so clearly maybe third time’s the charm, right?” she told co-hosts Gayle King, Vladimir Duthiers and Nate Burleson.
She then added, “I think that it helps that he was really hot and is really hot.”
Hamlin was previously married to Laura Johnson from 1985 to 1989 and Nicollette Sheridan from 1991 to 1992. He and Rinna tied the knot in the garden of their Beverly Hills home in 1997.
People reported that Rinna explained that physical attraction is not the only factor that’s keeping the marriage healthy. Despite having different personalities, Rinna observed that both had learned to accept each other without trying to change anyone.
“He’s very serious and quiet, and I think he gets a kick out of me, to be honest,” she shared. “You know, I think that’s why it works is we allow each other to be ourselves, our true selves.”
She continued, “And I enjoy him for who he is. He seems to enjoy me for who I am. We have fun.”
In a February appearance on the Dinner’s on Me with Jesse Tyler Ferguson podcast, Rinna had reflected on the ingredients of a good marriage. She had mentioned mutual respect and therapy when needed as important factors behind a successful marriage.
The couple will officially celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary on March 29, 2027.
