Roseanne Barr lists West Hills vacation home for $1.37 million after criticizing California Democrats
According to the New York Post, the 74-year-old listed her three-bedroom, two-bathroom ranch-style home. The listing followed a post on X in which she urged followers to vote for Texas Republican Ken Paxton and criticized California Democrats.
“For my birthday tomorrow – please get out and vote for @KenPaxtonTX ! I already fled California because democrats are the worst — I and [sic] not looking to flee another state ruined by them. You can not vote your way out of DSA,” she wrote.
Paxton ultimately lost the Texas Senate race to Democrat James Talarico.
Barr relocated to Texas around three years ago. She lives on a 30-acre property with her son, daughter-in-law, and two granddaughters. She spends her days gardening, riding tractors, cutting trees, and recording podcasts.
Barr purchased the West Hills property in 2021 for $1.3 million. It sits on less than a third of an acre and offers canyon and treetop views. The home also features a swimming pool, a covered patio, and an open-plan kitchen and dining area. She previously explained why she bought the property during the pandemic.
“During the pandemic, all I wanted was fresh air and peace and quiet, and the convenience of single-level living was extremely appealing,” she told the New York Post.
She also described the property as a peaceful weekend retreat. “It was my weekend getaway, a place to escape all the craziness. I just loved the canyon views, having a pool big enough for all my grandkids to splash around in, and being able to walk somewhere without having to climb a damn mountain,” she added.
However, Barr is not leaving the California real estate market entirely. Listing broker Ben Malka of the Beverly Hills Estates confirmed that she still owns several other properties in the state.
