White House Issues Stern Five-Word Message After Republican Midterms Disaster

The White House delivered a pointed five-word message about Donald Trump after Democrats made significant gains in the 2026 midterm elections.

As election results showed Republicans losing control of Congress, the administration reminded Americans that Trump would remain president despite the changing political balance in Washington.

White House posts “Trump is still your president” message following 2026 midterm election results

On November 4, the official White House account on X shared a photograph of Trump alongside the message, “PSA: Trump is still your President.”

The administration accompanied the image with another statement: “Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

The White House PSA followed the November 3 elections, during which Democrats secured projected majorities in both the House of Representatives and the Senate.

Although the results marked a major setback for Republicans, they did not change Trump’s position as president.

According to ANI News, the congressional elections determined which party would control the legislative branch during the remaining two years of Trump’s term.

Trump also addressed the Republican losses through his Truth Social account, arguing that his absence from the ballot had contributed to the party’s defeat.

The president claimed Republicans would have achieved a landslide victory if he had personally appeared on the ballot.

Meanwhile, several important races highlighted the extent of the Democratic gains.

In Texas, Democrat Gina Hinojosa defeated Republican Governor Greg Abbott, according to CBS News projections. The result marked a historic development, with Hinojosa set to become the state’s first Latina governor.

Trump subsequently criticized Abbott, blaming his defeat on what he described as a departure from the MAGA agenda.

The president also called Abbott a “RINO,” an abbreviation for Republican In Name Only.

Democrat James Talarico also defeated Republican Ken Paxton in the Texas Senate contest, according to projections cited in the report.

The 2026 midterm results consequently raised questions about how Trump’s administration would work with a Democratic-controlled Congress.

A Democratic majority in the House would gain additional opportunities to investigate the administration and challenge its legislative priorities.

However, the president would continue exercising his constitutional authority regardless of the congressional outcome.

The Trump still your president message emphasized that distinction as the White House responded to the Republican electoral setbacks.
