KATSEYE’s Detroit Concert Gets Postponed Minutes Before Showtime — Report

KATSEYE fans in Detroit were left disappointed after the group postponed its Little Caesars Arena concert just 30 minutes before showtime on Tuesday, November 3. Member Megan Skiendiel had fallen ill.

The announcement came after fans had gathered at the venue for the latest Wildworld Tour stop. KATSEYE has been performing as a quartet while two members remain on hiatus.

The group announced the postponement on Instagram Stories, explaining that Megan was “unwell and unable to perform tonight” and needed time “to rest and recover.” The members also acknowledged fans who had traveled, saying, “We are incredibly disappointed that we won’t get to see you, and we’re truly sorry for the inconvenience.”

The group clarified that it had postponed the concert, not canceled it, but did not announce a new date. Tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled show. The statement also thanked fans for their patience, adding, “We love you and can’t wait to see you soon.”

The last-minute decision left attendees stunned. Photos showed a packed arena before the announcement appeared on screen. The X account @NewsKatseye shared the notice, which asked attendees to “please follow instructions from venue staff.” One frustrated mother described the scene in a TikTok video. “We’re in an arena full of crying little girls,” she said as her daughter cried beside her.

The Wildworld Tour is KATSEYE’s first arena tour. It began on September 1 in Dublin before traveling through Europe, Canada, and the U.S. The group plans to conclude the North American leg on November 28 in Mexico City before resuming its tour in Asia in January 2027.

Sophia Laforteza is set to return in January 2027 after a five-month break to focus on her mental health. On October 8, HYBE and Geffen confirmed that she would miss the North American tour and the year’s remaining promotional activities. Both companies expressed support for her health and well-being.

Management announced Sophia’s hiatus in August, citing medical advice for extended rest and ongoing care. Manon Bannerman also stepped away in February to focus on her health. The group supported her decision and continued its scheduled activities. All six members had previously performed at the Grammys on February 1, 2026.
