Kate Middleton and Prince William shared their visit to Cornwall a day after their low-key appearance. The visit was connected to a new initiative exploring how nature helps in healthy child development. Their visit was low-key as King Charles and Queen Camilla also made an appearance in Wales. They opened the Senedd, or Welsh Parliament, in Wales.
Reportedly, the Royal Family is known to coordinate their schedules to avoid clashing headlines. The simultaneous engagements drew attention as Middleton and William kept their visit private until the following day. According to PEOPLE, the low-key approach was intended to keep focus on Charles and Camilla.
William and Middleton’s official Instagram account shared the news of their visit. They wrote in the caption, “Childhood is a time of wonder, curiosity and discovery. Today, The Princess of Wales has commissioned @earlychildhood to take forward new work examining how nature can support the healthy development of babies and young children, with a new programme set to launch next year.”
The caption also read, “Supported by founding partner @theduchyofcornwall, the work will explore how nature, creativity and relationships can help nurture the social and emotional skills that underpin lifelong health and wellbeing.”
Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also made a joint appearance for the first time after their return to the U.K. The couple stepped out in Nottingham for various charity visits.
