“Nottingham was the test, and they believe they passed with flying colors,” an unnamed insider told Shuter. “The crowds cheered, the photographs looked fantastic, and Harry and Meghan are absolutely delighted. It’s full speed ahead!”
The report suggests that Harry and Meghan are viewing these appearances to maintain a royal-like public profile despite no longer being working royals.
“You don’t need thousands to create a royal moment,” another source reportedly explained. “You need cheering faces, handshakes and photographs that travel around the world.”
The source has claimed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not treated their U.K. comeback lightly. Instead the move was motivated to seek opportunities for maintaining their royal profile. “They didn’t come back just because they missed Britain,” the source told Naughty But Nice. “They came back to reclaim their royal status. In Hollywood, they’re another celebrity couple. In Britain, they’re a duke and duchess. That’s what makes them special, and they know it.”
