Inside Ryan Clark’s response to ESPN’s on-air firing.

Ryan Clark took to his X account to respond after being laid off by ESPN during a live broadcast. He wrote, “Sending prayers and love to all those laid off today by ESPN. So many of you have poured your life into that company, and I know how you’re feeling right now. My hope is that as this door closes, another opens for you all. God bless!”

The network recently laid off some famous names, including Karl Ravech, Tom Pelissero, David Lloyd, and Ryan Clark. The list is growing as ESPN continues to lay off its employees.

Ryan Clark’s ESPN firing drew attention, as the former Pittsburgh Steelers defensive back was on “NFL Live” when the news broke.

One user said, “That’s messed up, bro. All of those non-players with horrible takes, and the players are gone? Time to stop watching @ESPN and watch more of the players’ platforms! @Disney is full of clowns from the movie to TV #trash.” Another commented, “On to better things, king! Keep pushing on!”

One user commented, “Best personality on television… Seems like ESPN is going full-blown MAGA.” Another X user said, “I was shocked when I heard the news of your departure. I know you will move on to bigger and better things.” According to TMZ, the network was unhappy about his argument with Peter Schrager on-air in 2025. The defensive back was posting regularly regarding his outings on social media. He has been working with the network for more than a decade and appeared on many shows.

However, the network has not made any public statement regarding the layoffs.
