Alex Cooper is reportedly concerned about the revelations in former friend and podcast co-host Sofia Franklyn‘s upcoming memoir, Daddy Issues. According to sources, the book hints at an alleged past fling between Cooper and their former boss, Dave Portnoy. With the memoir set for release on Tuesday, Nov. 10, Cooper is reportedly trying to learn what Franklyn has written.

Sources told Page Six Hollywood that Cooper’s representatives have been making calls to obtain details about Daddy Issues before its release. However, publisher Simon & Schuster has reportedly kept the memoir tightly guarded. The publisher has distributed only a handful of advance copies, each watermarked with the recipient’s name.
A source who claimed to have read the book said Franklyn recounts visiting Portnoy’s apartment with Cooper. During the visit, Franklyn reportedly realized that Cooper had been there before. “And Sofia hasn’t been there before. And then there’s a line like ‘Did they sleep together?'” the source explained.
Another insider described Cooper as being in “full-on panic mode” over the potential revelations. However, the source’s account does not establish whether any romantic involvement occurred between Cooper and Portnoy. Neither has publicly addressed the allegation.
The tension between the former friends dates back to 2020, when Franklyn left Barstool Sports following contentious contract negotiations. Cooper subsequently secured ownership of Call Her Daddy, which helped her build the Unwell media empire.
Franklyn is also scheduled to appear on The Adam Friedland Show on Nov. 10, the same day her memoir arrives. The interview was reportedly recorded around three weeks earlier, with a source describing it as “explosive.”
Meanwhile, the show’s Instagram account teased her appearance with a photograph of Franklyn alongside Friedland, who was flipping off the camera. The upcoming memoir and interview have drawn renewed attention to Franklyn’s fallout with Cooper, although the alleged fling remains unconfirmed.
