Alex Cooper has a tiny new reason to smile. The Call Her Daddy host has welcomed her first child with husband Matt Kaplan. She shared a sweet first photo of their baby boy on Instagram, and his cozy little outfit is already stealing hearts.

Cooper kept her announcement simple, adding a blue heart emoji to the photo. The newborn’s face stayed out of view, but his outfit stole the spotlight. He wore a fuzzy light-blue cardigan with matching pants, looking snug and cozy as he rested on a blanket.
The post quickly drew congratulatory messages from fans and fellow celebrities. Baby brand Babylist was among those celebrating the couple’s new chapter. They commented, “Congratulations! We’re so excited for this new era of you.” Cooper has not yet revealed her son’s name or shared further details about his arrival.
The announcement comes about five months after Cooper revealed her pregnancy in May. She shared maternity photos on Instagram with Kaplan and captioned them, “Our family.” Just days before announcing the birth, she also posted black-and-white maternity portraits, calling the experience “the most transformative 9 months of my life.”
Cooper had been giving fans glimpses of her pregnancy along the way. In June, she shared photos of her growing bump and revealed some of her cravings, including donuts and In-N-Out burgers. She also joked about finding new favorite mocktails during pregnancy.
Her excitement about becoming a mother was clear even before the announcement. In September, she shared a photo carousel with close friends and wrote that her baby had “already won the aunt lottery.”
Now, the little boy has arrived, marking a new chapter for Cooper and Kaplan, who married in Mexico in April 2024. While the couple has kept their son’s name private, the first photo offers a sweet glimpse of their growing family. And judging by that tiny cardigan, their newest family member is already dressed for the occasion.
