Jessel Taank Is Hoping Carole Radziwill Isn’t the Grudge-Holding Type

Jessel Taank hopes her tension with Carole Radziwill will not turn into a lasting feud on The Real Housewives of New York City. The two women had an awkward start after Carole returned to the Bravo series this season. Their early disagreements have left plenty to discuss at the upcoming reunion. Still, Jessel believes they can work through their issues.

Jessel Taank anticipates an uncomfortable RHONY reunion conversation with Carole

In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Jessel said she expects a long conversation with Carole at the Season 16 reunion. “We have probably a lot to talk about at [the] reunion, but [Carole is] not someone that is going to hold a grudge, I don’t think,” she said.

The tension began when Carole returned after an eight-year break from the show. During a brunch, Jessel asked Carole whether the late Carolyn Bessette Kennedy was “a bitch?”

Carole appeared surprised by the question but answered that Carolyn was “a girl’s girl, like, before there was a thing called girl’s girls.” Their disagreement continued when Carole later told Jessel that the question made her look like “a dingbat.” Carole also admitted that she felt some resentment and did not want it to grow. Jessel then repeatedly called Carole “Carolyn,” adding to their uncomfortable interactions.

Despite those moments, Jessel described Carole as “very rational” and “very grounded.” She told Us Weekly that Carole listens when someone apologizes or admits they were wrong and then offers feedback. Jessel also said the two women have spent time together away from filming, despite their on-camera disagreements. “I was with Carole all weekend at [Bravo] Fan Fest [in] Charleston,” she explained.

Jessel acknowledged that the show’s episodes can stir emotions and make the cast appear divided, even though the women respect and care for one another. She hopes those feelings will change as the season continues.

As the reunion approaches, Jessel remains hopeful that Carole will be willing to hear her out rather than hold a grudge. Their upcoming conversation could offer both women a chance to address their disagreements and clear the air.
