RHONY’s Erin Lichy Hits Back at Daisy Toye Over Nasty Home Claims

Erin Lichy defended her townhouse after Daisy Toye raised concerns about rodents during a recent Real Housewives of New York City discussion. Meanwhile, fellow castmate Jessel Taank had plenty of criticism about the home’s interior.

Erin denies Daisy’s rat claims as Jessel Taank

During the October 27 episode of the RHONY After Show, Erin addressed Daisy’s comments about rats potentially appearing during a backyard party. However, she insisted that Daisy had misunderstood an earlier conversation.

“I don’t have rats,” Erin declared while discussing the accusation. Daisy recalled her saying, “Rats followed us.” However, Erin clarified that she had only been joking.

“That’s why I withheld rent (at my former home) because I had a mouse infestation to the point where it was eating through my kitchen cabinets in my beautiful apartment that I spent money renovating,” she explained. The infestation had occurred at her former Tribeca apartment.

Daisy defended her reaction, asking, “How was I supposed to know?” She explained that she had worried about rats appearing during the gathering. Erin then reminded her that she had claimed every townhouse had rats.

The conversation then shifted to Erin’s interior design choices. After Sai De Silva mentioned her interest in decorating, Jessel questioned whether that was still true. She went on to criticize several aspects of the townhouse.

“It’s like a very old brownstone,” Jessel remarked. She added, “I don’t like old things that look old, if that makes sense.” The barred windows particularly bothered her, prompting an earlier comparison to Alcatraz.

She also criticized the red-looking floors, blue lighting, purple couches, and unusual artwork. The townhouse’s dark atmosphere and multiple staircases further bothered her.

Meanwhile, Erika Hammond addressed Daisy’s complaints about transportation to her private island. She questioned why she should have flown the cast there on a private plane. Erin agreed that the journey was exhausting and said the travel arrangements could have been smoother.

The Real Housewives of New York City Season 16 airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
