Several members of *NSYNC reportedly participated in interviews for Justin Timberlake‘s upcoming documentary series. However, their involvement had no connection to a possible reunion of the boy band.
According to TMZ, the musicians discussed their experiences with the group during separate interviews for the four-part project, which also explores major controversies from Timberlake’s career.
How *NSYNC members became part of Timberlake’s project
Sources familiar with the production told TMZ that several *NSYNC members recorded interviews backstage during Timberlake’s performance at The Wiltern in Los Angeles in 2024.
The conversations focused on their experiences as members of the popular boy band and their time working together. However, the insiders clarified that the interviews had nothing to do with plans to reunite the group.
The musicians also participated individually rather than gathering for a joint discussion. Although their involvement became public, the sources did not identify which members would appear in the completed series.
They also revealed that the production team had finished the project months earlier, around the beginning of 2026.
The latest *NSYNC reunion news therefore offered no confirmation of upcoming performances or new projects involving the group.
Meanwhile, the Justin Timberlake documentary reportedly examines several controversial moments from the singer’s personal and professional life.
TMZ previously reported that the four-part series would address Timberlake’s involvement in Janet Jackson’s widely discussed Super Bowl halftime show incident.
The project also explores his former relationship with Britney Spears, which has attracted considerable public attention over the years.
However, a source with direct knowledge of the production clarified that Spears had not received an invitation to participate in an interview.
The revelation came amid growing attention surrounding the documentary’s expected release. Although the series reportedly includes recollections from Timberlake’s former bandmates, their interviews provide background on *NSYNC’s history rather than updates about the group’s future.
The documentary is reportedly scheduled to premiere on Apple TV in December.
