Mckenna Grace is setting the record straight about her decision to stay away from nude and highly sexualized roles. The Hunger Games star explained that her decision has nothing to do with her ambition to become a Disney princess. The 20-year-old, who started acting as a child in shows like Designated Survivor and Young Sheldon, said she finds it “silly” that the subject has become such a major talking point.
Mckenna Grace clarifies media headline that allegedly misrepresents her comments on nudity

Grace addressed the attention surrounding her recent Cosmopolitan interview in an Instagram Story. She made it clear that her childhood Disney princess dream and her personal boundaries regarding on-camera nudity are “unrelated.”
Grace‘s full comment in the interview was, “At this point, I definitely don’t do nudity or very hypersexual things. I respect anybody who can, but it’s terrifying to me. I don’t know if that’ll ever change. It’s not like I only do wholesome things—my character literally gets gutted by Ghostface in Scream—but my dream is to try and be a Disney princess someday.”
The actress has now shared her reaction by reposting a screenshot of Variety’s report on her Cosmopolitan interview. The outlet’s headline read, “Mckenna Grace Rejects ‘Nudity or Hypersexual Things’ in Acting Roles Because ‘My Dream Is to Be a Disney Princess Someday.'” She wrote, “The two quotes being used right now in these titles are unrelated.”
Grace continued, “I said at this point in my career I think I’m uncomfortable doing something, but I respect everyone who does – and I also have a dream job! I’m not uncomfortable doing nude scenes / hyper sexual roles simply because ‘I want to be a Disney princess’; it’s just because of my own personal boundaries and the level of comfortability I have with that sort of thing right now at this point in my life! Silly that it’s become such a source of conversation! So many more important things to talk about.”
