Prince Harry Should ‘Make a Selection’ After Bombshell Interview — Expert

An expert has said that Prince Harry faces a defining choice after his recent interview with GQ. The Duke of Sussex used the now-viral sit-down to express his desire for reconciliation with the royal family. He remains estranged from his brother Prince William and father King Charles following explosive statements about the Firm after quitting royal duties with his wife Meghan Markle in 2020.

Expert suggests Prince Harry needs to ‘keep his mouth shut’ amid latest interview

A royal expert believes that Prince Harry should now stay silent after his latest GQ interview. The expert warned that his ongoing media appearances are damaging any chance of reconciliation. In the interview, the Duke revealed his wish to reconcile with his family, including King Charles III and Prince William. However, Harry went on to say, “some people don’t want it to work out – I want it to work out.” Adding, “with everything else that’s going on in the world, the most important thing is to reconcile – that’s the key point.”

In his response, PR strategist Eric Schiffer did not hold back. He labeled the interview a fresh blow of the non-working royal’s own making. According to Schiffer, airing personal family issues in a high-profile magazine is the exact opposite of what is needed to rebuild trust, per the Daily Express.

In conversation with Newsweek, Schiffer weighed in on Prince Harry’s latest move. He noted, “Make a selection—do you want a relationship with your father and your brother, or do you want to try to stop the bleed out of reputational challenges, because you can’t have both, and if he’s going to focus on his reputation, then he has to keep his mouth shut with his family, don’t talk about it, don’t comment.”

Harry’s representative has since issued a statement. This comes after rumors swirled that he was suggesting his father and brother were against mending their relationship. The spokesperson clarified, “It was absolutely not intended as a swipe at his brother or any other member of his family. The comment was made in a general context and was not directed at his family in any way.”
