The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star stepped onto the red carpet with Kelsie Chesser after months of keeping their relationship relatively private. The appearance marked the couple’s first public red carpet appearance together. Taylor also revealed that Chesser has already become part of her family life.

As reported by PageSix, Layla Taylor and Kelsie Chesser made their red carpet debut together at the 2026 Virtual Reali-Tea Awards in New York City on October 6. The outing also publicly confirmed Chesser as Taylor’s girlfriend.
Chesser admitted that the milestone made her nervous. Taylor, meanwhile, appeared excited to finally bring their relationship into the open. The pair also revealed that Chesser first approached Taylor through TikTok DMs.
Their public debut comes several months after Layla Taylor came out as bisexual. During a June appearance on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast, the Mormon Wives star confirmed that she was dating a woman. At the time, however, she kept her partner’s identity private.
Since then, Taylor and Chesser have shared only small hints about their romance online. Their red carpet appearance therefore represented their most public step as a couple.
Meanwhile, Taylor revealed another sign that the relationship has become serious. Chesser has already met Taylor’s two sons, whom she shares with ex-husband Clayton Wessel. According to Taylor, the children “love her.”
Taylor has also praised her girlfriend for giving her space while she explored her sexuality. She previously described Chesser as supportive and understanding throughout that process.
Still, fans may soon see more of the relationship. Taylor hinted that Chesser could become part of Mormon Wives Season 6. She teased that “there will be some things” involving the couple in the upcoming season.
That possibility comes as filming continues amid changes within the cast. Layla Taylor has also recently hinted at uncertainty about her future on Mormon Wives beyond Season 6.
For now, Taylor and Chesser have taken their relationship from a largely private romance to a public red carpet appearance.
