Donald Trump Shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks’ Death Records Reveal a New Mystery

Thomas Matthew Crooks was cremated days after the 2024 assassination attempt against Donald Trump. Newly released records now reveal that an anonymous donor reportedly covered the cremation costs. The disclosure adds another unexplained detail surrounding the deadly shooting.

Newly released documents say an anonymous donor paid for Thomas Matthew Crooks’ cremation days after the 2024 Butler shooting

Documents released to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley contain a note about Crooks’ cremation. According to the New York Post, the record states that an ” anonymous donor paid for cremation.” The note reportedly appeared at the end of an interview with Crooks’ father. The identity of the donor was not revealed in the documents.

The records also included information about Crooks’ parents and their employment. His father reportedly said he was “retired” during the interview. His mother was reportedly on leave from work at the time. The circumstances may help explain why another person covered the cremation costs.

Crooks was 20 when he opened fire at Trump’s campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The shooting happened while Trump was campaigning for president in 2024. Trump survived after a bullet clipped his ear during the attack. The incident became one of the most closely scrutinized events of the election cycle.

The shooting also killed former volunteer fire chief Corey Comperatore. Two other people were critically injured but survived the attack. Security personnel killed Crooks shortly after he fired into the crowd. His death ended the immediate threat at the rally.

The newly released cremation detail adds to questions surrounding Crooks’ remains. However, the documents provided in the reference report do not identify the anonymous donor. They also do not explain why the person chose to cover the expense. No further details about the payment were provided.

The shooting generated widespread speculation and numerous conspiracy theories. The FBI has maintained that crooks acted alone in the attack. The newly released records provide another detail for investigators and lawmakers to examine. They do not, however, establish a connection between the donor and the shooting.

For now, the identity of the person who paid remains unknown. The records only confirm that an anonymous donor reportedly covered Crooks’ cremation. That unanswered detail could fuel further questions about the aftermath of the Trump assassination attempt.
