An MCU rumor suggests that Loki might have a bigger role in Marvel’s multiverse. A Marvel insider recently reported this news and also revealed the character Noah Jupe might be playing in Avengers: Secret Wars. The Night Manager and A Quiet Place star was recently cast in a top-secret, key role in the MCU.
In an X post made by @Enigma_Dominion, it was conjectured that Jupe might play the role of The Beyonder. In response to this, the trusted insider James Mack wrote, “Loki is already serving the role of the Beyonder, and Noah will be Franklin, 8 years older.”
Avengers: Doomsday follows a multiversal incursion that brings heroes from three different universes together to fight a common threat. This storyline will continue in the next Avengers movie, Secret Wars. Since The Beyonder plays a major role in the Secret Wars comic book, many fans assume the character will soon appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The insider suggests that Loki’s role as the God of Stories serves as a stand-in for The Beyonder in the MCU. However, this is only a rumor, as nothing has been confirmed by Marvel yet.
Why this rumor points to Loki’s God of Stories role
Loki’s role shifted from the God of Mischief to the God of Stories as he holds the multiverse in his hands and transforms into a tree-like structure resembling Yggdrasil at the end of Loki Season 2. This makes the Norse God the keeper of the Multiverse.
In the original Marvel comic Secret Wars, the Beyonder gathers heroes and villains on a custom planet called Battleworld. Here, the sentient being makes the heroes and villains fight one another. Moreover, in Jonathan Hickman’s 2015 Secret Wars, the Beyonders were responsible for creating the incursion, which ultimately led to the creation of Battleworld.
Loki’s role as the God of Stories gives him a level of control over the multiverse similar to the Beyonder’s over Battleworld. Unlike the Beyonder, who brings heroes and villains together for a battle, Loki could serve as a mediator between the universes, bringing heroes and villains together to fight a common threat.
That said, this is a conjecture based on the given scoop from the insider. Marvel has not confirmed the importance of Loki’s role, the character Noah Jupe will play, or any other theories related to The Beyonder.
