Prince William and Kate Middleton have reportedly strengthened their charitable presence in the US after their Royal Foundation received a major boost from its American arm. Financial records show that the foundation received approximately $11.7 million from the American Friends of the Royal Foundation in 2025, placing its US funding well above the latest reported revenue of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s philanthropic organization.

According to RadarOnline, the American Friends of the Royal Foundation operates as a separately controlled organization based in Delaware. The organization supports the foundation’s programs and initiatives, particularly projects with an international focus. The US contribution represented about 44% of the Royal Foundation’s total reported income of approximately $26.5 million for 2025.
The Royal Foundation serves as the main charitable platform for Prince William and Kate Middleton’s major initiatives. Middleton’s Centre for Early Childhood continued its work in 2025, including the launch of its Shaping Us Framework, which focuses on the importance of early childhood development. William’s Homewards initiative also reached a significant stage. The five-year project aims to demonstrate that homelessness can become “rare, brief and unrepeated” through coordinated efforts in communities across the UK.
The foundation has also supported United for Wildlife, William’s initiative tackling the illegal wildlife trade. The charity reported funds stood at approximately $14.3 million at the end of December 2025 after it spent about $22.3 million on charitable activities, according to the figures cited in the reports. The year also included the fifth annual Together at Christmas service at Westminster Abbey, led by Middleton.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle started their own charity after they stepped down as senior working royals in 2020 and moved to the US. The charity, originally called the Archewell Foundation, became Archewell Philanthropies in 2025. It supports causes such as mental health, online safety, and the impact of artificial intelligence. Archewell Philanthropies reported around $2.6 million in revenue in 2024, down from about $5.7 million the year before.
