Well, that’s one way to pay for a wedding.

So it seems like this Florida teacher wasn’t the only one busted with a bunch of cocaine, as one Australian woman was also caught trying to smuggle drugs.

Cassandra Sainsbury, a 22-year-old bride-to-be from Australia, was recently arrested after 18 packs of cocaine was discovered inside of her suitcase as she was trying to board a flight from Columbia to London. But Sainsbury’s family believe the woman was set up, as they say Sainsbury thought the cocaine packs were actually pre-wrapped headphones that she was going to hand out as gifts at her wedding.

Sainsbury was busted at Bogota’s international airport after an X-ray machine detected the coke hidden in different packages in her suitcase. Sainsbury was said to have been carrying almost 13 pounds of coke. Damn.

“Our hearts break, because we know she is innocent, but stands little chance of proving it in such a corrupt country,” Sainsbury’s sister Khala said. Khala adds that her sister, a personal trainer and volunteer firefighter, was in Colombia on a working holiday, and was traveling with a male friend she had met before in South America. The merchandise was purchased from a contact in a pre-wrapped package, her sister said.

But Jorge Triana, head of the anti-narcotics police at Bogota’s, doesn’t believe Sainsbury, and says her claims are probably untrue.

Well, if she’s found guilty, Sainsbury is looking at more than 20 years behind bars. And if she’s telling the truth then this is Brokedown Palace all over again.
