Week In Review: Ray Rice KO’d by Ravens, Apple Watch, Battle of the Big Phones, and Destiny

The Internet is a crazy place. Trending news moves so fast that it’s easy to forget to remember what you were just talking about. Where was I again? Oh yes, here’s what you already forgot that happened this week.

Ray Rice KO’d by Ravens, NFL, and Internet – #RayRiceBeLike

Ray Rice’s wife is a real knockout. And, she goes down like an elevator. Wait, that’s not what I mean! Ray Rice knocked out his wife, back before they were married, in an elevator. TMZ leaked video surveillance footage of the attack on his then-fiancée, which led to the Baltimore Ravens releasing him from his contract.

Janay Rice made a super official statement over Instagram, standing by her man, rather than being passed out at his feet.

Turns out, the Associated Press confirmed from law enforcement that the video was sent to the NFL back in April. If true, we can all say goodbye to Goodell.

Watch Apple Compare Who’s Bigger – #AppleWatch #iPhone6

In the latest dick measuring contest between Apple and well, everyone else, the Cupertino superpower finally caught up with the rest of Android manufactures and announced bigger iPhones. Both an iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus went up for pre-order today, just in time for Samsung to release an embarrassing ad campaign to totally teach them a lesson.

But that’s not the only thing Tim Cook had baking in Apple’s oven. Nobody asked for wearable technology, but you’re gonna get it, in the form of the Apple Watch. It’s not coming out until next year, and Apple didn’t confirm full details on pricing – only that it’d start at $349. What an announcement!

Going by the rest of Apple’s expensive lineup, it could be $349 all the way up to… $1 MILLION DOLLARS!

Destiny Becomes Legen… Wait for it… Nope – #Destiny

Bungie’s new sci-fi universe launched on Tuesday, and in just one day made over $500 million dollars worldwide. Looks like they can afford an Apple Watch. It’s also the best-selling new IP in history.

Too bad our Gaming Editor was underwhelmed with it, giving it a 6 out of 10 on the Crave scale in his review. He’s not the only one, either, so we investigated as to why. Did pre-release hype get the best of everyone?
