BritBox & BBC’s new Hercule Poirot television series has nabbed some major Game of Thrones and MCU stars as cast members. The lineup adds ten new names alongside Edward Bluemel, who is playing the titular sleuth created by Queen of Crime Agatha Christie.
Jack Gleeson, best known for playing the cruel Joffrey Baratheon in GOT, is set to star in Hercule. Other notable works in his filmography include House of Guinness, The Sandman, and Sex Education.
Another actor from the GOT universe to come on board Hercule is Henry Ashton, who played Daeron Targaryen in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. He has previously starred in Netflix’s A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder. Hercule marks Ashton’s second on-screen collaboration with Edward Bluemel after My Lady Jane.
Besides the GOT stars, Hercule will also feature James D’Arcy, who has starred in the MCU series Agent Carter and Avengers: Endgame as Edwin Jarvis. The actor has also starred in two Christopher Nolan movies, Dunkirk and Oppenheimer.
