Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Face a Bigger Problem Than King Charles — Expert

An expert has warned that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle face a greater hurdle than King Charles. The remark comes in the wake of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s unexpected return to the UK. Despite relocating to Britain, the non-working royals’ relations with the rest of the royal family show no signs of improvement.

Expert comments on how the Sussexes are facing public backlash

Facing yet another wave of public backlash, Prince Harry is the focus of a pointed call-out published by the Daily Express. The breakdown comes from royal reporter Jasmine Carey. She has argued that the concern now goes beyond the 42-year-old Prince failing to secure a meeting with his father, King Charles, after months in the UK.

She noted, “let’s be real, it’s not been picture perfect, has it? I mean, let’s face it – one of the reasons Harry came back to Britain was to be closer to his royal relatives. And, it seems, he has hardly seen them.”

The journalist didn’t stop there, but went further to add, “He’s been back for over two months, and a meeting with his father, King Charles, has not taken place. The monarch has a busy diary, so it kind of makes sense.” Adding, “What is more of a slap in the face for Harry and Meghan is this – the fact that the public do not seem to have yet forgiven them. Two months back, and it seems that they have failed to change the public’s mind about them.”

The Daily Express poll released on Saturday, October 31, clearly shows the lingering public anger. It asked whether the public should give Meghan Markle a second chance after her UK return with Prince Harry. The results from 7,092 Express readers were decisive, with 2% (171) in favor, 97% (6,884) against, and 1% (37) uncertain.

In conclusion, Jasmine Carey suggested that Prince William and Kate Middleton are likely feeling relieved. She pointed out that a rival royal court simply cannot survive when public support lies almost entirely with the Wales pair.
