Expert talks about Meghan Markle’s future amid father’s controversy
During a conversation on HELLO!‘s A Right Royal Podcast, royal editor Emily Nash said that Meghan Markle really doesn’t have any option but to keep going in her life. Nash noted, “She has kept a relatively low profile for long periods over the last couple of years, but that doesn’t make sense at the moment, where she is trying to relaunch herself, where she’s running this business, and she’s also trying to get back into acting.”
She added that the situation Markle is currently in is “awful,” but there are a few positive things for her to focus on. These include her professional work, other projects, and looking after her children, Archie and Lilibet. These remarks come a few days after Markle publicly shared her thoughts about the legal trouble concerning her estranged father, Thomas Markle Sr.
Markle told Newsweek, “I am deeply distressed at the news that has come to light in the last 24 hours, and my thoughts are with any children who may have been harmed.” She said that the authorities had already informed her about “troubling and disturbing allegations” against her father in 2018. The Duchess of Sussex mentioned that at the time, she was reassured that they were investigating the matter.
Markle further elaborated, “Although the breadth of what has now been uncovered is more sickening than one could ever imagine, my sincerest hope is that justice will be fully served and that the priority remains the safety and protection of innocent children.”
