Donald Trump‘s recent remark about rapper Nicki Minaj has reportedly hit a nerve with his wife, Melania. Trump was at a rally in Michigan when Minaj, a vocal supporter of the President on numerous occasions, joined him. In September, she shared in an interview that Trump inspires her.

Clinical psychologist Tracy King recently spoke with the Irish Star and suggested that Donald Trump’s wife must’ve felt a certain way about his praise for rapper Nicki Minaj.
During a rally in Michigan supporting Senate and gubernatorial candidates Mike Rogers and John James, Minaj joined Trump, and he later complimented one of her physical features. While speaking to the crowd, Trump recalled his comments about Senator Jon Husted, after which he shifted to Minaj, saying, “By the way, I looked at one hell of a beautiful a** before… Nicki Minaj. That’s hard to miss.”
He also asked the rapper to stand up and further commented, “I hope Nicki was not insulted, but we love Nicki. She has been with us for a long time.”
Sharing her analysis of Trump’s remarks, King suggested that if Melania were watching the rally, these words would emerge as “a clear issue of disrespect.” She commented that Trump “did not openly consider his wife” before delivering the words, which he openly acknowledged could’ve caused offense to Minaj.
King added, “His words have consequences for her. The hurt she may feel is not even as simple as jealousy; there is a lack of consideration here that will contribute to a lack of trust. Melania will also know that others will see it and make lots of assumptions about her self-respect.”
The psychologist also predicted that Melania might need to plan her public move very carefully, as it could draw attention after this incident.
