Prince William reveals major headliner for Earthshot Prize event
Pop legends Take That will headline Prince William’s Earthshot Prize event in India in November, according to a new report. The pop juggernauts revealed in a statement that they are now looking forward to performing in India for the first time (via PEOPLE).
They stated: “To be performing here for the very first time, after all these years, and alongside the extraordinary people creating a better future for our planet – is really special.”
Take That firmly believes that music has a way of bringing people together, and they cannot wait to share that magic with a spectacular performance at the Earthshot Prize event. The CEO of the Earthshot Prize, Jason Knauf, expressed that they were “thrilled” to have the “Rule the World” hitmakers headline the Mumbai event.
Notably, the performance comes just three days before the release of Take That’s 10th album, “Dreamers,” on November 20. Additionally, the Earthshot Prize was held in London in 2021 and then subsequently held in Boston, Singapore, Cape Town and Rio de Janeiro. The Prince of Wales has attended all iterations of the awards and will also attend the Mumbai edition.
This will mark a significant step in his wife’s return to royal life since her cancer diagnosis in 2024. It will also mark her first appearance at the coveted awards since she attended the Boston edition in 2022. Notably, the awards will be streamed on Prime Video.
