King Charles Is Outshining Meghan Markle on Her Own Turf — Source

King Charles is reportedly being lavished with praise for not only competing with Meghan Markle’s lifestyle brand, As Ever, but also dominating in her space. Charles announced a brand-new, high-end homeware collection through his Highgrove Gardens brand on October 22.

Interestingly, he launched it on the same day as his daughter-in-law launched the second edition of As Ever’s holiday collection. This reportedly makes the royals direct competitors in the lifestyle category, and it appears that the ageing monarch is outshining the “Suits” star.

King Charles earns praise for rivaling Meghan Markle in the lifestyle territory

King Charles’ Highgrove Gardens is allegedly outperforming Meghan Markle’s As Ever brand. As per Highgrove Gardens’ latest Instagram post, they have collaborated with Cornishware Ceramics to launch a new set of ceramics featuring dog bowls, side plates and storage pots.

The caption read: “From teapots, mugs, and side plates to storage pots and dog bowls, each piece is hand-cast from Cornish clay and passes through at least 25 pairs of skilled hands.”

Interestingly, Markle’s As Ever too boasts fancy cutlery items. Charles’ impressive collection features ceramics in the king’s classic rose pink and sage green colors. Fans can purchase the products through Highgrove Gardens’ official online store. Although it remains unclear whether the timing was intentional, it has certainly raised questions about whether Charles’ Highgrove Gardens is now in direct competition with the Duchess’ As Ever.

However, a source dished to Radar Online that it is “fascinating” that Charles is entering the same lifestyle territory as his daughter-in-law without making a big deal out of it. Sources praised the king for quietly building the brand’s credibility amongst customers and expanding upon its royal heritage and advantage.

Reportedly, the fact that Charles is doing this with little to no publicity and polished campaigns as compared to the “Suits” star’s As Ever gives him an edge over her.

A second insider chimed in: “There is something rather amusing about the king and his daughter-in-law finding themselves selling similar products, and that is why Charles is getting praise for this timing.”
