A new rumor suggests that a key “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” character presumed dead might be alive. “Brand New Day”, starring Tom Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jon Bernthal, and more, hit theaters on July 31. The movie became a huge box-office blockbuster and broke numerous records.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s Sarah Grey rumored to be alive in MCU
Hollywood scooper My Time To Shine Hello said that Sarah Grey, who appeared in “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”, might not be dead.
The scooper, also known as MTTSH, shared an edit of clips featuring Sadie Sink’s Jean Grey and Olivia Booth-Ford’s Sarah Grey. Uploaded on X (formerly Twitter), the clip also featured a scene from Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man. Along with this, the scooper wrote in the tweet, “Sarah will be back. She’s ALIVE.”
However, the makers of Spider-Man 4 have not confirmed whether Sarah is alive at the end of the movie.
In the movie, Sarah was tranquilized by soldiers from Damage Control and taken to their detention facility. Bill Metzger and his scientists conduct experiments on her to mimic her telepathic powers. Later, during an emotional scene, Sarah’s sister, Jean (Sink), spots the V-Max logo she’s been looking for throughout the movie while Damage Control detains her, only to learn it was just a vent. She then states, “The last thing my sister saw was this goddamn room.” This suggests that Sarah might have died during an experiment. This could imply that she used her powers to send Jean the clue telepathically.
Although fans have assumed she died, a body was not shown at the end of the movie. This leaves open the possibility that Sarah could be alive. However, considering Ford’s character is used to set up Jean for the future, it can be that Marvel Studios decides not to revive the character in the future MCU.
