Meghan Markle & Prince Harry’s ‘Happy Couple Narrative’ Backfired — Source

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have reportedly tried to put speculation about their marriage to rest by making a public appearance together at a Cotswolds pub. However, a source has allegedly claimed that their October 2 outing at the Falkland Arms has done little to silence questions about their relationship, with Meghan allegedly feeling pressured to show that the couple remain united.

Meghan Markle ‘forced herself out for photo op’ with Prince Harry on pub date, per source

Photographers captured Harry and Meghan holding hands during their visit to the Falkland Arms pub in the Cotswolds on Friday, October 2. Their appearance attracted attention because the couple had rarely appeared together in public since returning to the UK in August. According to the source, the outing appeared to be an attempt to counter speculation about their marriage and show that they remain united.

“This very public outing together was clearly aimed at silencing the critics by pushing the happy couple narrative, but it hasn’t really done much,” the insider told National Examiner. The source claimed that questions about the couple’s relationship have continued despite their joint appearance.

“Everyone is still whispering about the cracks in their marriage,” the insider added. The source also alleged that Meghan didn’t particularly want to make a public appearance with Harry but decided to join him because of the continuing attention surrounding their relationship. “Even though the last thing she wants to be doing is going out to be gawked at with him, she’s forced herself out for this photo op,” the insider claimed.

Meghan has reportedly kept a low profile since she and Harry returned to England in August with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
