According to the Daily Express, Meghan Markle is seriously weighing in on an appearance at Paris Fashion Week. A source told the outlet that the Duchess wants the event to mark her official public return after moving back to Britain.
“She’s keen to go alone and hold her head high,” the source claimed. “Meghan deliberately hasn’t attended an event in the U.K. yet; she’s been holding out for the perfect time, and Paris offers that.”
The report also claimed Meghan remains cautious about returning to the fashion event following last year’s appearance controversy. Although organizers invited her through official channels, the insider said she is still evaluating whether the timing is right.
The topic was also discussed on the Daily Express’ new Royals Unscripted show. Royal editor Emily Ferguson described Meghan’s previous Paris Fashion Week appearance as “a bit of a disaster.” Meanwhile, commentator Carole Malone questioned whether another appearance would be well received.
“I suspect she’ll be there. It’s interesting that she’s going alone,” Malone said. She also alleged Meghan “crashed” the event last year and claimed, “Everywhere she goes there’s controversy and trouble.”
According to the report, Meghan has not made an official public appearance since she, Prince Harry, and their children returned to Britain in late August. The family has settled in the U.K. for an extended stay, with Archie and Lilibet now attending school there.
