Angela Kelly’s reported film about her relationship with the late Queen Elizabeth is expected to revisit an explosive incident involving Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. According to The Royal Observer, the Sussexes reportedly clashed with Kelly ahead of their 2018 wedding and may not be pleased with how the former royal aide plans to portray the incident.

For those unfamiliar with the controversy, the Sussexes reportedly had a disagreement with Kelly over Meghan’s choice of wedding tiara. The Duchess of Sussex allegedly wanted to wear a specific tiara but was not allowed to, leading to a reported confrontation with Kelly before the ceremony.

The infamous “tiaragate” controversy has since been detailed in books by several royal experts. The royal biography “Our King: Charles III: The Man and the Monarch Revealed” also reportedly revisited the incident, which became widely known as “tiaragate.” Harry later offered his own account of the controversy in his 2023 memoir, “Spare,” in which he criticized Kelly.

However, royal expert Charlotte Griffiths reportedly plans to offer Kelly’s perspective on the incident. Griffiths also suggested that the Sussexes should be “quaking in their boots” over reports of the film. Speaking to the Daily Mail, the royal expert said: “The stuff Angela saw during Tiaragate. Apparently, there’s another incident from around that time that they are praying does not come out in this drama.”

There are currently no further details about the reported project or the alleged incident. However, Griffiths predicted that the film could ruffle plenty of feathers, particularly because Kelly was regarded as a “controversial” figure within the palace.
