Meghan Markle Willing to ‘Tough It Out’ in UK, but There’s a Catch — Source

Meghan Markle might not want to spend Christmas in the UK. According to a source, she could be willing to “tough it out” in Britain, but she has a condition. It was reported that the Duchess of Sussex would like to make frequent US trips with her kids. However, Prince Harry might not be on board if it means spending Thanksgiving and Christmas in California.

Meghan Markle is willing to make UK return work if they can make US trips with kids, per source

Meghan Markle would reportedly make the Sussexes’ UK return work only if Prince Harry agrees to this demand. A source told Closer that the Duke and Duchess might want to spend Thanksgiving and Christmas in different locations. While the “Suits” alum reportedly wants to celebrate in the US, her husband likely wants to stay in his home country.

“Harry hates the idea of leaving England over Christmas,” the insider claimed. “He worries that if they travel back to the US, it will look like they’re giving up and choosing to miss out on time with his father.” Reportedly, Harry would like to spend the holidays with the family from Princess Diana’s side, including Charles Spencer. He might also visit his father and Queen Camilla with his wife and kids during the festival.

Furthermore, the source suggested that the Sussexes could also be invited to the royal family’s Christmas celebration. But Meghan might not want to spend the holidays this way. She would seemingly want to return to Montecito and carry on their Christmas traditions with their children and her mother, Doria Ragland.

While Meghan seemed to be “homesick,” she is also aware of her kids’ school schedule. “She’s willing to tough it out in England, but it will be a lot more bearable for her if they can make regular trips back,” the insider added. But Harry seemed opposed to the idea. “People have suggested they compromise and go back for Thanksgiving and spend Christmas in England, but that didn’t seem to appeal to either of them.”
