Prince William Avoids King Charles’ ‘Jealousy’ Trap With Kate Middleton — Expert

Prince William and Kate Middleton remain one of the royal family’s most closely watched couples. Their public appearances often attract significant attention. Now, royal experts are discussing how William handles the spotlight on his wife. Their comments also draw a comparison with King Charles and Princess Diana.

Experts claim Prince William doesn’t get jealous of Kate Middleton’s popularity

Royal experts told Fox News Digital that Prince William is comfortable with Kate Middleton getting attention. This differs from reports about King Charles’ reaction to the couple. British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard pointed to William’s reaction when Kate drew attention.

“Prince William is not only proud, but he is smitten. He watches Princess Catherine and lights up. After more than a decade of marriage and three children, he is still completely enchanted by her,” Chard said.

She also pointed to the couple’s ability to maintain both their public and private lives. “Few marriages have deepened in public admiration the way theirs has.” Chard further added that the couple seems to have found the right balance between their public and private lives.

Christopher Andersen, author of “Kate!,” also contrasted William’s approach with Charles’ relationship with Diana. “But rather than be jealous of his wife the way King Charles was jealous of Diana’s popularity, William is more than content to let Kate shine. In fact, there are times when he is perfectly happy to bask in her reflected glory.” Reports have also linked their growing popularity to Charles’ reaction.

Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond similarly told The Mirror that William’s reaction differs from the one associated with his father. “Luckily, William doesn’t seem to suffer the same jealousy that his father did when Diana was the darling of the crowds,” Bond said.

British royal expert Hilary Fordwich also described William’s reaction as positive. “Rather than Prince William being jealous, his delight regarding her success is palpable,” she told Fox News Digital. She added that his admiration is visible through “his adoring glances and his general ease with her popularity.” For William, the spotlight on Kate appears to be something he is happy to share.
