Meghan Markle & Kate Middleton Fallout ‘Ripped Monarchy to Pieces’ — Experts

Royal experts have described Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton’s reported fallout as a key moment in the breakdown of the former “Fab Four.” Tensions between the two couples have reportedly returned as Meghan and Prince Harry settle back in Britain with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Experts point to one meeting as a major turning point for the former ‘Fab Four’ in new documentary

Prince William and Kate have reportedly chosen not to get drawn into the latest developments surrounding Harry and Meghan. A source close to the Prince and Princess of Wales said the couple plans to “ignore” the situation instead of starting another public dispute. They are taking this approach despite the long-running tension between Kate and Meghan. The relationship reportedly became strained around Meghan and Harry’s 2018 wedding.

According to Prince Harry’s memoir Spare, a tense meeting between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton became a major turning point in the relationship between the two couples. The meeting reportedly began over Meghan’s comment that Kate had “baby brain” during her pregnancy. The conversation then became heated and involved both women and Prince William.

As per Harry, Kate asked Meghan to apologize for her comments about pregnancy hormones and “baby brain.” Meghan reportedly apologized and said she used the phrase because she spoke to her friends that way.

However, the apology did not end the disagreement. As per Harry, the conversation grew tense when William allegedly pointed his finger at Meghan. Harry claims William told her, “Well, it’s rude, Meghan. These things are not done here.” Meghan reportedly responded, “If you don’t mind, keep your finger out of my face.”

The exchange later became one of the most talked-about moments in Harry’s account of the growing tension between the Sussexes and the Waleses. A Channel 5 documentary, titled “Meghan vs Kate: The Meeting That Changed the Monarchy,” looks back at the confrontation and how it affected the wider royal rift, as reported by the Express.

Newsweek chief royal correspondent Jack Royston believes they could have avoided some of the later conflict. “What happened in that room back in June 2018 was the defining element of the relationship between the two couples that ripped the monarchy to pieces,” he said.

Richard Kay of The Daily Mail said if that meeting had been “a success,” the two may have reconciled their differences.
