Sydney Sweeney shared her sports background before she got into acting. The actor talked about her latest venture as an equity partner of Novig, along with her childhood memories, during a conversation with Complex over the phone.
Talking about the “Just Sports” campaign, she said that it is a “very simple and playful idea.” For her, the mission was to bring the concept of “‘just sports’ to life.” While talking about the campaign, she revealed that she has a deep background in sports: “I grew up loving sports. I played sports growing up.” Sweeney added that she played multiple sports and was on several teams, including soccer, softball, and snow skiing. She even learned how to slalom ski growing up and also did MMA.
Sweeney particularly loved watching hockey and boxing and has a huge appreciation for sports. She also revealed that her parents wanted to indulge in different activities and try everything. Sweeney added, “I think that the idea and concept of acting was my ability and my choice to be able to not have to pick being one thing for the rest of my life.”
In the acting profession, she gets to mold into different characters, explore the world, meet different people, and broaden her horizons. However, the “Immaculate” star confessed that when she was 12, she wanted to go to the X Games for wakeboarding but couldn’t do that. Sweeney said that she loves when she has “more hats to wear.” With a successful acting career and business ventures, it’s clear that she is truly a jack of all trades.
