Kim Kardashian recently reacted to Jimmy Kimmel’s suggestion that she become the White House Press Secretary during her Thursday appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! The host joked that her legal training made her more qualified than President Donald Trump’s new Press Secretary, Katie Zacharia.
Kimmel first asked Kardashian about where she stood in her legal studies, and she explained that she has completed the earlier stages of the bar exam but has not passed the final exam. The reality star said, “Like a bar exam with half of the subjects. If you study the law the way that California and a few other states offer, just by registering through the California State Bar instead of going to a traditional law school. You have to take two bar exams in order to prove your seriousness, prove that you’ve made it, you know, halfway, and then take the final one with everyone else.” Talking about her progress, she said, “So, I’ve made it all the way through except for the final one.”
Kimmel responded with a joke about Zacharia, saying, “So you are technically more a lawyer than the White House Press Secretary.” This prompted laughter from both the audience and the reality star. The host then asked if she would be interested in the position. However, Kardashian gave a brief answer, “No interest.”
Her response comes after she revealed last year that she had failed the California bar exam. Kimmel’s remarks also referenced the scrutiny surrounding Zacharia, who has faced criticism over her qualifications since becoming White House Press Secretary.
