Jimmy Kimmel recently opened up about his kids’ opinion of President Donald Trump. As it turns out, the 58-year-old’s kids do not have a very kind notion.
The late-night talk show host and his wife, Molly McNearney, recently appeared on the Armchair Expert show. Having a conversation with Monica Padman and Dax Shepard, Kimmel admitted that his kids are aware of how their father has a constant feud with the country’s President. Shedding further light on the matter, the couple revealed that for their kids, Trump is a villain, much like Dr. Evil.
Over the years, Kimmel and Trump have been at loggerheads with each other. And that has predominantly shaped how Kimmel’s kids perceive Donald Trump.
How Trump’s attacks on Kimmel shaped his kids’ view of the president
Both Kimmel and Trump have been feuding for quite some time now. Despite the indifference, the 58-year-old has not held back his opinions about the POTUS. The recent instance of the duo’s feud was related to the death of a conservative podcaster, Kirk. Back in September 2025, the talk show host shed light on the matter during his opening monologue. Kimmel said, “We had some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and with everything they can to score political points from it.” Such a comment immediately resulted in the FCC Chairman, Brendan Carr, calling for Kimmel’s show to be banned. The fiasco then saw Disney intervening and reinstating the show.
Their disagreement even led to the talk show host’s kids seeing the beef firsthand when helicopters and media converged on their house. Trying to get Kimmel fired more than once, the bitter relationship has continued to date.
Thus, Kimmel’s kids have gradually formed an adverse opinion about the country’s president. The 58-year-old pointed out that his kids have seen Trump as their first and only President. He stated, “It’s not like they… they never had a normal president. For them, it’s like, oh yeah, this is what happens with the president.” While in the future, their notions about the President might change, currently, Kimmel’s kids know fully well that Trump does not like their father at all.
