Prince Harry’s aunt, Princess Anne, is reportedly “furious” that he did not bring his children on his UK trip. Prince Harry’s aunt, Princess Anne, is reportedly not happy that her nephew did not bring his children on his UK trip (via Express.co UK). As per New Idea, a source said: “Anne is livid and can’t bear to see the Royals be toyed with like this, not to mention the insult to their beloved country.”
For those unversed, Harry and Meghan Markle previously announced that they would step back as senior working members of the British royal family. The couple has been raising their children, Archie and Lilibet, in Montecito, California, U.S. Harry is currently visiting Britain to mark the one-year countdown to the Invictus Games, to be held in Birmingham in 2027.
Notably, Princess Anne is “furious” because Harry has essentially deprived King Charles of meeting his grandchildren. According to the outlet, Charles has reportedly not seen his grandchildren since 2022. This is due to the ongoing tensions between the royals and the Sussexes. Their last visit marked the King’s first in-person meeting with Lilibet, which was described as “very emotional.”
However, sources close to the Sussexes stated: “Once this trip was locked in, Meghan didn’t publicly make clear what she was willing to commit to and whether she would even be bringing the kids back to the UK.”
The outlet also added that the former actress was “reluctant” to commit to any engagements or meetings in Britain, fearing her husband would be treated unfairly. The source explained: “She feared she and Harry could be treated harshly by the press – and public – and so was reluctant to commit fully to a program of engagements or a meeting with any royals.”
