Marvel’s reported VisionQuest synopsis may have revealed what pulls White Vision out of the shadows. It seemingly reveals the threat that disrupts Vision’s attempt at a quiet life after his reboot.
The reported VisionQuest story puts Vision on the run after a bounty is issued
Marvel Television’s upcoming Disney+ series VisionQuest has received what appears to be its “first official synopsis,” as claimed by industry scooper MyTimeToShineHello on X (formerly Twitter). The synopsis reveals that Vision has been hiding after escaping those who sought to weaponize him following his reboot.
The reported synopsis reads in part that Vision’s “quest for new meaning and discreet existence is interrupted when a bounty is placed on his head.” It adds that the situation forces Vision “to forge real found family if he’s to survive.” The synopsis aligns with previously revealed details about the series and its cast of characters.
Todd Stashwick plays Paladin, a bounty hunter who is hunting Vision in the series. Showrunner Terry Matalas previously compared Paladin to the Star Wars bounty hunter Boba Fett.
Further, the found family element connects to the series’ ensemble of artificial intelligence characters. Paul Bettany returns as Vision alongside James Spader as Ultron, Emily Hampshire as E.D.I.T.H., Orla Brady as F.R.I.D.A.Y., and James D’Arcy as J.A.R.V.I.S. T’Nia Miller also stars as Jocasta, a cunning and powerful robot driven by revenge.
Bettany previously explained that these AIs exist inside Vision’s mind because the character had “been saving and copying and pasting them to keep them alive” within himself (via Collider). Ruaridh Mollica also reportedly joins the cast as Thomas Shepherd.
VisionQuest serves as the final installment in a trilogy that started with WandaVision in 2021. Agatha All Along, which came out in 2024, continued it. The eight-episode series premieres on Disney+ on October 14, 2026, as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase Six.
