Hugh Jackman‘s partner, Sutton Foster, is reportedly having a hard time dealing with the very public fallout between Jackman and his ex-wife, Deborra-Lee Furness. Foster found herself caught up in the public aftermath of the divorce. She is currently facing hostility from both fans and other celebrities.
“Sutton tries to ignore it, but some of the trolls and criticism online get the better of her,” a source told Woman’s Day. They add, “She struggles with being branded a ‘homewrecker,’ so does Hugh, but this is a whole new world for Sutton. She’s never been ‘hated’ like this.”
The source further noted, “She loves Hugh, but she was totally naive about what came with that. Nothing could have prepared her.” The source continued, “She worries she could be stuck with this reputation forever, regardless of whether or not she becomes Mrs Jackman.”
Other sources have noted that 16 months into the relationship with Jackman, Foster is now feeling the pressure of dating Jackman, especially with the public scrutiny surrounding them.
At the Women’s Health Lab panel “The Science of Staying Strong: Longevity, Movement & Resilience,” Foster admitted feeling “really alone.” There, Foster also hinted at the drama with Jackman in the interview. She said, “Women of power can actually support each other, and we don’t have to be pitted against each other. There’s room for more than just one of us.”
