Ex-Prince Andrew has reportedly called his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, a “traitor,” accusing her of cutting ties with him during the height of the Epstein scandal. According to insiders, Andrew’s anger has reached such an extent that it could lead to a potential rift and divide their daughters’ loyalties. For those unversed, Andrew and Ferguson officially divorced in May 1996 and share two daughters, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice.
Here’s why Andrew Mountbatten Windsor called ex-wife Sarah Ferguson a ‘traitor’
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has reportedly branded Sarah Ferguson a “traitor” amid their bitter family feud. As per RadarOnline, the former couple’s relationship has deteriorated further amid intense scrutiny of their alleged links to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Their equation has soured to such an extent that Andrew is now said to be unwilling to welcome his ex-wife to his new residence at Marsh Farm on the Sandringham Estate.
An insider dished, “Andrew appears to have rewritten the entire history of his relationship with Sarah to convince himself that she abandoned him at the precise moment he needed her most, and is branding her a traitor.”
The former Duke of York expected Ferguson to be “fiercely loyal” to him, particularly when he hit a rough patch in his life. However, he believes she “she made a calculated decision to distance herself” from him at the height of the controversy and distanced herself from the whole saga.
Andrew is taking this “personally” and telling everyone that his ex-wife’s behaviour is the ultimate betrayal. The source reasoned that Andrew refuses to understand that Ferguson was caught in her own mess and that it was important for her to protect herself rather than publicly support him.
Moreover, the insider added that Ferguson is “furious” that Andrew is portraying himself as a victim and her as a villain in this whole ordeal. As far as the former Duchess of York is concerned, she has done enough to defend her ex-husband’s honour, both publicly and privately. Ferguson firmly believes Andrew is blaming her for the repercussions of his own actions and behaviour.
