According to a report, former Prince Andrew, who is Peter Phillips‘ uncle, will not be attending his royal wedding. The report claimed that his absence stems from the family’s continued efforts to distance themselves from him following the intense scrutiny over his association with Jeffrey Epstein. Last year, he was also stripped of his royal titles, and it was reportedly announced that he’d now be known as just Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
Peter Phillips reportedly didn’t invite Ex-Prince Andrew to his wedding
A report published by the Daily Mail suggests that Phillips, who is tying the knot with fiancée Harriet Sperling in June, has invited the royal family, except one member, and that is ex-Prince Andrew. Moreover, it’s known that he’s “unlikely” to make an appearance at the wedding amid renewed interest around his link with Epstein. As per insiders, the event is described as “intimate” but also a “deeply significant royal gathering.” In August 2025, Phillips announced his engagement to an NHS nurse and writer.
Back in October 2025, Buckingham Palace announced that Andrew would no longer be referred to as “prince,” a move that’s supported by his brother, King Charles. “His Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew. Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.”
The statement further read that he had the legal right to live at Royal Lodge due to his lease agreement. However, he has now been formally asked to vacate the residence and find a new place to live. The palace believes these steps are necessary despite the former prince denying any allegations against him, involving his ties to Epstein. “Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse,” it further added (via PEOPLE).
