Kevin Spacey settles out of court ahead of London trial

According to multiple reports, such as AP News, Kevin Spacey has reached an agreement with three men who filed lawsuits against him for allegedly sexually assaulting them. The case was about to receive a civil trial later this year in London, but it has now been put on hold, as ordered by case judge Christina Lambert. This development comes amid the parties involved having agreed to reach a resolution.

The judge claimed, “By consent, it is ordered that all further proceedings against the defendant in these actions be stayed upon the terms set out in this order and in the confidential schedule.” The judge also clarified that they didn’t make any orders around the final cost. The terms of agreement currently remain under wraps.

One accuser, referred to as GHI, stated that he met Spacey during a workshop at the Old Vic Theatre, where the “House of Cards” star served as artistic director from 2004 to 2013. He further alleged that Spacey sexually assaulted him in 2008, causing “psychiatric damage and other financial loss.”

A second accuser, identified as Ruari Cannon, said he performed in Spacey’s production of Sweet Bird of Youth at the Old Vic in 2013 and accused Spacey of groping him at a party. The final accuser, known as LNP, claimed that the actor sexually assaulted him on multiple occasions between 2000 and 2005.

The aforementioned allegations were denied by Spacey. In 2017, Anthony Rapp also alleged that Spacey made a sexual advance toward him in 1986; however, in 2022, the jury found insufficient evidence to hold Spacey liable, and the Oscar-winning actor also later denied the claim.
