If you love pizza crust as much as its toppings, Pizza Hut has a job for you. To celebrate Pi Day, observed on March 14 as the annual celebration of the mathematical constant, the fast food chain is not only offering a great deal to its fans, but also a one-of-a-kind employment opportunity.
Pizza Hut is hiring a ‘crust connoisseur’ for Pi Day
In a March 11 press release, Pizza Hut revealed that they are launching a new platform called “Hut Crust.” Per the company, this platform celebrates “recognizable crusts that have defined the brand for generations.” The celebrations include a deal on a large three-topping pizza.
Available at $10, fans will get to opt for any three toppings on one of three iconic crusts: the new and improved Hand-Tossed, Tavern Style, or Thin ‘N Crispy. It will be available to order at the participating locations nationwide as well as on the company’s official site. The press release stated, “This new and improved Hand-Tossed pizza featuring the new Garlic-Parm Hut Blend™ marks the brand’s first update to the recipe in over a decade.”
Further, the company is also hiring a “Hut Crust Connoisseur,” a lucky customer who will be paid to eat pizza crust for an entire year. The most interesting part of this recruitment drive is that the company will pay $31,415.92 and offer free pizza all year. Further, this year’s worth of pizza will come in through two gift cards, each worth $260.
Per the press release, the “Hut Crust Connoisseur becomes the official guardian of the Hut Crust platform, responsible for tasting and testing all new crust innovations.” Fans can apply for the job by posting an honest review of Pizza Hut’s new Hand-Tossed pizza recipe on Instagram. They have to share their thoughts on the crust using #pizzahutcrust, #pizzahut_contest, and mention “Hut Crust Connoisseur.”
Then, applicants will have to head to pizzahutcrust.com to submit the link to their review post as their official application. The company will evaluate the applications based on the “quality, passion, and thoughtfulness” of the review.
