Fantastic Four’s Cut Post-Credits Scene With Steve Reported in Detail

New reported details have surfaced about a removed post-credits scene connected to Marvel’s First Family and Steve Rogers. A recent report outlines what the scrapped sequence from The Fantastic Four: First Steps would have shown and how it now ties into upcoming events in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

New rumor reveals what happened in Fantastic Four’s deleted post-credits scene

Scooper MyTimeToShineHello shared new details about the deleted post-credits scene from The Fantastic Four: First Steps. The account wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “The original post credits scene for First Steps which was removed had the Fantastic Four visiting Steve at his cabin on their Earth and asking him for help with a multiversal problem / the Incursions. That scene now appears in Avengers Doomsday.”

The post states that Marvel repurposed the sequence for Avengers: Doomsday.

A separate report before that stated the cut scene would have revealed that Steve Rogers, Peggy Carter, and their unnamed son live on Earth-828. Reports first revealed Chris Evans’ return as Steve Rogers in Avengers: Doomsday in December 2024. Marvel Studios later officially confirmed his involvement when he headlined the film’s first teaser trailer.

Directors Anthony and Joe Russo told Empire in January, “His central role to the Avengers and the larger narrative of what the MCU has been something that is very personal to us. We can’t see this narrative without his central role in it.”

According to The Hot Mic’s John Rocha, “The Fantastic Four and Doom ask Steve Rogers to come with them to the MCU, Earth-616, to help them gain the heroes’ trust.” He added, “This was supposedly a post-credits scene in Fantastic Four, but they removed it. But this could still be a scene in the movie.” Rocha also stated, “According to my sources, Doom has his own ‘Black Order,’ a group of witches and wizards who are working for him.”

MyTimeToShineHello previously reported that Evans filmed something before claiming he would not appear in the MCU. The scooper also said that Evans will be part of a subplot involving Thor and Steve looking for Loki, and that “Thor and Steve are already on the Fantastic Four’s ship with Doom before it arrives in the MCU,” as glimpsed in Thunderbolts*.

Marvel Studios will release Avengers: Doomsday in theaters on December 18, 2026.
