YouTuber John Campea, known for sharing key details on the MCU, recently painted an uncertain picture of Avengers: Doomsday with a strange rumor.
In a new video, he claimed, “I am certainly excited for Doomsday, although…I’m hearing it’s not going so good.” However, Campea didn’t really explain any reason behind the rumor, reports ComicbookMovie.
Considering that it’s just an unverified claim, fans should take everything with a grain of salt unless there’s an official confirmation.
With no credible details available to support this claim, it may have popped up due to ongoing circumstances. Despite it being one of the most highly anticipated movies of 2026, Marvel Studios’ team has been mostly quiet about sharing anything substantial.
In fact, Avengers: Doomsday hasn’t even received its first official trailer yet. Fans have only received a few clips featuring brief appearances from characters such as Steve Rogers or Captain America, Thor, Shuri, Fantastic Four, Cyclops, and Professor X.
However, there seems to be some hope this week. An event based on Doomsday is set to take place at the Shanghai Expo, and Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige will be there. While there’s no official update on a trailer, fans may get a surprise. If no trailer drops this week, fans’ next hope will be San Diego Comic-Con later this month.
Avengers: Doomsday will see the return of many fan-favorite cast members, including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, and Chris Hemsworth.
