Zack Snyder‘s potential Marvel Cinematic Universe debut has received an update. During a recent Q&A session, a Marvel insider addressed whether the studio plans to bring the beloved DCEU director on board.
Alex Perez from The Cosmic Circus has revealed the fate of Snyder’s MCU debut in just one word. During a Q&A session with Discord members, user qncycharles asked, “Has Marvel Studios had any conversations with Zack Snyder about doing a project?” The insider replied, “Nope.”
Snyder is best known for directing several DC movies, including Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Justice League. Although his superhero filmmaking expertise could fit Marvel, Perez’s response offers no sign that the studio is currently pursuing him for a future MCU project. Moreover, Marvel Studios has not hinted at a potential collaboration with the filmmaker.
What other movies has Zack Snyder made besides his DCEU projects?
Although Snyder is widely associated with DCEU superhero movies, his filmography extends beyond the superhero films. In 2004, he made his feature film directorial debut with a remake of George A. Romero’s 1978 film Dawn of the Dead. He followed this with his 2006 historical action movie 300, an adaptation of Frank Miller and Lynn Varley’s comic book.
Snyder later helmed Watchmen, based on Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons’ acclaimed graphic novel. His other directorial projects include The Last Photograph, Twilight of the Gods, Rebel Moon: Part One and Two, Snow Steam Iron, Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole, Army of the Dead, and Sucker Punch.
According to IMDb, his upcoming projects include Planet of the Dead, Escape from New York, Brawler, and an untitled LAPD action movie. In addition to directing, Snyder has writing credits on some of the aforementioned projects, including Twilight of the Gods, The Last Photograph, and Rebel Moon. Lastly, the director has also voiced characters in Rick and Morty and Teen Titans Go!
