Thunderbolts* 2 may welcome a major MCU star to the beloved team, a new rumor claims. While rumors of Bullseye joining the group continue to swirl within the fandom, this notable character has now become a strong contender.
According to industry insider MyTimeToShineHello, The Punisher will join the Thunderbolts in the reported sequel movie. The scooper made the claim on X while replying to a post by @bluemintues, saying, “Thunderbolts 2.0 will introduce a new team including Bullseye and Songbird. There could be more members. Plus Yelena and Sam Wilson will lead the Avengers in the next saga.”
Jon Bernthal made his MCU debut as The Punisher in Season 2 of Daredevil. The actor returned in the reboot series Daredevil: Born Again and has most recently reprised the role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. There has been no official confirmation that The Punisher will appear in the Thunderbolts* sequel.
Meanwhile, rumors surrounding Bullseye, played by Wilson Bethel in Daredevil and Daredevil: Born Again, gained traction earlier this month. During a Q&A session for The Cosmic Circus, scooper Alex Perez was asked whether Bullseye will join the Thunderbolts’ new roster. Perez gave a hopeful response, saying, “…Yes.” However, his involvement also remains unconfirmed.
Additionally, Marvel has not officially announced Thunderbolts* 2 yet.
What happened in the first Thunderbolts movie?
