Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s lavish wedding reportedly featured an hour-long “playful” luxury raffle that became one of the most talked-about moments of the celebration. While some guests described the giveaway as a fun addition to the festivities, others reportedly questioned whether it fit the tone of the star-studded event.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce spared little expense for their reported wedding celebration, transforming New York City’s Madison Square Garden into a fairytale-inspired venue complete with towering trees, flowing drapery and castle-style décor. However, according to the Daily Mail, one part of the reception left guests divided. Shortly after the ceremony, the newlyweds reportedly hosted a raffle featuring high-end prizes, including Chanel handbags, Cartier watches and a vintage 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle.
One insider claimed the giveaway lasted around an hour. “It was really bizarre,” the source told the outlet. “Straight after the ceremony, Taylor and Travis did a raffle and gave out expensive gifts for an hour. Everyone was weirded out.” The same source added that some guests questioned the concept of giving luxury gifts to celebrity attendees. “It was a circus meet-and-greet. Everyone kind of felt like, why are they giving away Chanel bags as if we are all their poor fans? It was pretty demeaning. It killed the vibe,” the insider alleged.
Not everyone viewed the raffle the same way. One guest reportedly described the giveaway as “playful,” especially after winning one of the Chanel handbags. The guest also said several of the biggest celebrities in attendance showed little interest in participating in the games that awarded raffle tickets.
According to previous reports, guests earned raffle entries by playing skee-ball, mini golf, and football-themed carnival games before organizers drew the prizes. Swift and Kelce spent much of the reception greeting attendees, with the NFL star reportedly being introduced to numerous influential figures from the entertainment industry.
